Behavior and character

The English Bulldog is an animal of great strength . Affectionate , he knows how to be very docile . His extreme gentleness sometimes makes him a lazy person. The English Bulldog has a lot to enjoy and be surrounded by his family . Intelligent , it adapts to almost all games and proves to be a great company for children. The English Bulldog is very protective of his family and suspicious of strangers .

Stubborn and sensitive , he is able to not pay any attention to you for several days if he judges an unwarranted reprimand. The most important thing for the Bulldog puppy is to teach him the meaning of the "no" . The trainer must be very rigorous and pay attention to everything that is allowed and prohibited. The English Bulldog also needs a lot of attention .

The English Bulldog is very sensitive to cold and high temperatures . Care must be taken not to remove it in extreme temperatures. Indeed, the heat can cause suffocation of the animal or, conversely, violent tremorsin the cold environment. The animal does not have a great endurance , it must not be subjected to long races. If the dog has stenosis of the nostrils or manifested back pain, it is advisable to quickly consult a veterinarian.

Maintenance & Hygiene

The eyes of the English Bulldog are particularly irritable . It is advisable to clean them regularly with saline and cotton. As for the ears , there are products to use to clean them even once a week.

The care of this dog requires special attention to the skin because of the many skin folds, which contain moisture and heat. For this, you can make use of a clean, non-damp cloth to prevent infections. The English Bulldog may have to  drool a lot , in this case, it will be necessary to wipe his mouth regularly.

Physical activity

Given its heat irritability , the Bulldog should not be regularly released in conditions of great freshness and heat. But when the weather is nice, walks of a few tens of minutes will be of great benefit. But preferably, do not associate with your jogging session , because his heart is too fragile for this kind of activities.

Living conditions

Lazy , the English Bulldog loves the sedentary life and never tires of spending time at home . He can lie close to you for hours. Small strolls from time to time are welcome.
